Athan's new tape drive roller is a single piece unit that utilizes new drive contact points and drive band widths. This new design, plus new top quality polyurethane material and precision manufacturing process has produced a product that far surpasses the performance of the original manufacturer's parts.
This tape drive roller, when installed on a properly set up transport, virtually eliminates all tape skew problems. This results in greatly improved tape path stability and audio performance, especially when using the new stiffer high level tapes.
